ABOUT MATT

Not many if any drag racers can claim they are really a “rocket scientist” but for Matt Hartford that is squarely the truth. No stranger to claiming championships, Hartford is a former three-time World Champion in two different and incredibly difficult eliminator classes. Hartford scored championships in 2001 and 2002 Sport Compact division and moved on to claim a championship in the ADRL Mountain Motor Pro Stock category in 2009.

After winning those championships, Matt set his sights to the ultra-competitive world of NHRA Pro Stock while sometimes competing in the NHRA Competition Eliminator which arguably is known as one of the most, if not the most sophisticated and highly engineered sportsman drag racing categories. It’s doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know and understand, both the financial and time commitment it takes to seriously compete in NHRA Pro Stock.
